MELBOURNE SAXOPHONE ENSEMBLE
Launched in 2017, the Melbourne Saxophone Ensemble brings together twelve of Melbourne’s finest saxophonists, from Bass to Sopranino. The ensemble perform a dynamic range of classical and new music, with a strong focus on Australian and World Premieres. Previous guest artists have included Barry Cockcroft and Philippe Geiss.
D’ADDARIO JAZZ PROGRAM
New in 2019, the D’Addarrio Jazz program focuses on the many diverse elements of what it is to be a jazz saxophonist. Led by D’Addario artist Jamie Oehlers alongside Remco Keijzer and Rob VIncs, participants will engage in specialty Jazz Workshops before culminating in a performance at the Sunday Night Gala Concert.
OZWINDS 100SAX!
The flagship educational event of the Melbourne International Saxophone Festival, 100SAX! returns in 2019 to bring together over 100 saxophonists from around Australia and the world. Over the course of the festival, students will take part in rehearsals and masterclasses with world class artists and perform in an unforgettable concert.
