2021 REMIX Saxophone Festival

In light of how the current situation is progressing within restrictions in Victoria, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the REMIX Saxophone Festival. We have made this decision in order to ensure the safety of all our attendees, and hopefully reach the point where we can enjoy the full festivities of our program. We have rescheduled the festival to 25 - 26 September, 2021.

Melbourne Saxophone returns in 2021, presenting REMIX SAXOPHONE FESTIVAL, a two-day program bringing together the best parts of our Summer Academy and International Festival to create a celebration of all things Saxophone!
During the day, participants will engage in workshops, masterclasses and rehearsals with some of the most inspiring saxophone educators and artists in Victoria. Our program will cover everything from circular breathing to slap tongue, composing your own music to improvisation, Bach to brand new music and everything in between.
In the evenings, the festival will come alive through performances from our artists and participants, and celebrate the unique and exciting nature of Australian Saxophone Music, including several world premiers written especially for the festival!.
Remix Saxophone Festival is the essential compliment to your saxophone journey and a fantastic way to reconnect with the Melbourne Saxophone community together.

SUITABLE FOR:
Remix Saxophone Festival will be most appropriate for saxophone students with an AMEB Grade 6+ or equivalent, those considering the university for their future music studies, and for everyone who loves saxophone!
