2018 MISF Teacher Professional Development

Melbourne Saxophone’s Teacher Professional Development program returns in the 2018 Melbourne International Saxophone Festival. Teachers will have the chance to work with renowned pedagogues Clifford Leaman (Professor of Saxophone at the University of South Carolina), Jay Byrnes (Sydney Conservatorium of Music), and  Erin Royer (University of Western Australia).

Participants will engage in a series of seminars, masterclass observations and presentations, exploring a range of topics such as teaching techniques for young saxophonists, tone builders, building technique, developing a saxophone section, instrument and equipment care and many more. Participants will also receive complimentary tickets to the Sunday evening feature concerts. 

Suitable for all saxophone and woodwind teachers, Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program.
